Greetings from our Pastors!

Pastor DaveMy husband, Dave is the Senior Pastor and I am the Associate Pastor here at Forest Hill United Methodist Church. We are a clergy couple, and we are new to Forest Hill UMC. Having been here a short while, I have discovered something about the people who attend Forest Hill.

They are the “salt of the earth.” These folks love Jesus and they love each other. The members here are wonderful people, they love and care for each other. This church campus takes up almost an entire city block, with three sanctuaries, two ministry centers, an education wing, and an administrative building. However, you will discover that this church has that “small church feeling.” The people here draw everyone into this huge loving family. If you are interested in attending Forest Hill, do not wait another day!

Pastor FreidaThere is a style of worship to suit any taste. Sunday morning worship offers an 8:30 Contemporary Service or you may choose an 8:30 or a 10:55 Traditional Service. After the children’s time in 10:55 Worship, children (Kinders – fifth grade) are invited to participate in Children’s Church if they choose. The Middle School and High School assist in this Worship Service.

Every Sunday afternoon at 1 PM, Holy Communion is offered at the Bilingual Hispanic Service. This service is conducted with Hispanic/Latino music, worship and preaching, translated for English speaking persons present. At 7 PM, the Historic Worship Service combines an old-style singing service with historical styles of preaching. And that only covers the variety in Worship!

Forest Hill has something for everyone from the youngest to the oldest. Activities abound for both young and old. The Youth Programming is outstanding! The Senior Programs are everywhere, and always on the go! Men’s ministries, Women’s ministries, Young adult, Youth and children, and the list goes on and on… Mission, at home and in the world, music, evangelism, spaghetti suppers, hot dog lunches, support groups, liturgical dancers, drama teams, mission building teams, and the list continues…. Come find out!

Visit Forest Hill UMC! Give yourself a few Sundays to get to know the people and you will find a church home!

Blessings,
Freida Hobson,
Associate Pastor
